In one of my Q&A sessions on the Online Studio, someone shared with me how sometimes they would have a little headache after yoga class.

It’s something that I can relate to, as in the beginning of my yoga journey, I would experience the same.

There are a few things that we could do to prevent headaches after a class, though my main advice if this persists is to see an osteopath or other physicians specializing in body anatomy.

A few things I can advise on is to observe these when you are practicing:
1. How are you moving?
2. Where do you hold tensions in your body?
3. Do you feel compression when you do backbends?
4. How is the flow and rhythm of your breath during practice?
5. Can you try to modify poses that feel better suited to your body alignment?

I hope these little tips can help you prevent headaches after yoga classes. And again, if you find that the headaches persist, please consult with a specialist.
